WDL Digital Image Standards
Digital image files of original items that have been selected for digitization and/or inclusion in the WDL should be provided in an uncompressed TIFF format. The WDL team uses the uncompressed format to create the derivatives that enable the zoom feature on the public site. The uncompressed TIFF files are not available for download on the public site. Please also visit the WDL filenaming guidelines for more information about how to prepare your content for delivery.
Please note that the WDL does not accept images for presentation that have been digitally watermarked. If you have concerns or questions about this please contact the WDL team.
If you are unable to meet the minimum standards described below, please contact Sandy Bostian at sbos@loc.gov.
